Sheer Cover is a makeup health and beauty product from Guthy-Renker. The sales pitch for Sheer Cover is that it contains minerals and does not contain oils, perfumes, dyes, or talc. According to the official site this means a better coverage because minerals lay on top of the skin and are not absorbed as much. Guthy-Renker recommends Sheer Cover for dark circles, age spots, and sun damage.

The official spokesperson for Sheer Cover is Leeza Gibbons who appears in the 30-minute infomercial. Part of her pitch is that Hollywood makeup people have long preferred mineral powders over other makeup products due to their more even coverage.

It's hard to tell one makeup product from another. It really just boils down to marketing. Whoever is willing to spend the most money on advertising will ultimate have a more successful makeup product. There may be some truth to the 'mineral' claims but we doubt the product has any groundbreaking qualities about it. The official web site includes a usage guide and color tone selector to help you use the product.

Sheer Cover uses a continuity program whereby after you've ordered they continue to send you products each month. If you're ok with this then it's probably an ok deal. Just note that it's not a one-time purchase when you intially order. The product is offered in the following colors.

I am 14 years old and I have suffered from acne ever sence i could remember! I have tried many different kinds of makeup in the past but i found they either made my skin worse then it already was or it wouldnt cover up my acne scars. The thing i love about Sheer Cover is that it makes my skin look flawless and gives it a healthy glowing appearance!! I naturaly have very pale skin so i use the Latte color because it gives my skin a nice looking sun kissed glow that i have always wanted! Not to mention ever sence i have been using Sheer Cove my pimpels have been magically dissapering one by one! Im so glad my mom let me get this makeup beause it truely does its job!

I love using sheer cover, a lot of people do complain that it can be too heavy but the trick is to play around with it. i find using the concealer and then just using a small amount of powder works much better than piling it on to cover flaws. The best thing to do if you have trouble is to call the customer helpline, theyre there to help with any questions.

I have been using Bare Minerals for a year and a half and instead of reordering I decided to try Sheer Cover - I really do like it better so far. I still use the Warmth from Bare Minerals but the Sheer Cover makes my skin look so much better and more natural. So far I LOVE it!

I LOVE this makeup! Please keep in mind that we ALL have different types of skin..and of course one type of makeup isn`t going to work for everyone! BUT this is PERFECT for me! I have tried EVERYTHING! My skin type - I have an olive complication - acne prone skin - combination skin - this stuff works like a charm! i have been using it now for one week! it is seriously "healing" my skin! i have no pimples (which is unheard of for me) it feels like i am wearing no makeup! My fiance LOVEs it! I sleep in it! workout in it! it last ALL day! I am getting married this summer June - and i FINALLY have FULL confidents in the makeup I will be wearing!!! not to mention i wont be worried of a pimple popping up! I would FOR SURE try this if i were u!! I AM NOT disappointed! I use the "TAN" thanks!

Too heavy

I was very excited to order Sheer Cover as I was very impressed with the info commercial; however, I have been using it now for over two weeks and I find it to be too heavy looking after just a couple of hours. Unless you keep touching up or using a tissue every couple of hours; I found my face to look like I have "stage make-up" on... Not a natural appearance as stated. I have reviewed the DVD and directions to make sure I was applying it correctly. Just not for me I guess. I have used it on my 12 year old daughter for pictures and I used it on my mother... It really made them look like their skin was in better condition then normal. So I will just use it when we are going for pictures or I know I will look good for a couple of hours.

Long Lasting?

I just had a question for all the sheercover makeup users... i wanted to know if it is a long lasting make up that doesn`t wear off until the end of the day because i am a women on the run all the time.. my second question was if it came off quickly if someone touched your face or something like that

It makes my skin look flawsless. I`ve gotten so many compliments since I started wearing sheer cover. My only complaint is that they should make a bigger variety of colors for African americans. I can only reccommend it to friends similar to me in skin shade.

well its better then bare essentials, bare essentials just made me look like i had more flaws then without it, sheercover dose what they say it dose cover all your imperfections, thats why i like it better.this product really works!

My husband came up to me while I was applying Sheer Cover for the first time. His repsonse was "Wow your skin looks like porcelain!" He told me I had great skin to begin with but, Sheer Cover adds that finishing touch. I don`t like to wear alot of makeup and this product is worth buying! It does everything that`s is promises and stays on till it`s time to wash your face!!!

wrinkles?

Can anyone provide information on coverage for wrinkles? For the most part any product I`ve tried just highlights my wrinkles, therefore, I wear nothing at all. How about this product, does it cover or highlight?

I have now used this for 2 days. I love it .. I'm a stay at home mum and am always touching up my make up due to normal duties that cause me to sweat. I find if you just run a clean finger around your wrinkley areas it seems to disappear again ... loving it

I am 45 with oily skin,yes still prone to acne. I also have dark circles under my eyes and melasma (sun spots). I tried Bare Essentuals and found that it caked up my skin and made my pores huge. I also found myself blotting and re applying. Sheer cover is great I love the concealer ..which needs to be larger..it does not last as long as the makeup itself. My skin feel very air brushed soft and looks great..I look like I don`t have anything on. My overall skins appearance has improved. I have only used it a short time but I love it. Give it a try.

Goes on fast, makes you look like you have perfect skin. I get it every 6 months now. Lasts a long time. This one is a keeper for me. I have really sensitive skin and this does not bother me either. Ladies, please buy!
