The AeroGrow is a mini indoor greenhouse.
Let me tell you, coming from someone with a notorious "brown thumb," this little gizmo is just magic.
It was very easy to set up, with limited assembly.
I started off with half salad greens and half herbs.
After just a few days, I saw sprouting, and my greens were ready in about 3 weeks, and the herbs in about 3 1/2.
No dirt, just water and sunlight!
The Aerogrow produced about enough greens for 6 2 person salads, and enough herbs for quite some time (although I'm a brown thumb, I am a good cook and enjoy using fresh herbs).
I'm planning to buy another one so I can have a constantly rotating herb garden and fresh salad greens. I liked it most because I know where my food is coming from, and don't have to worry about dirt or bugs (perfect for growing that notoriously gritty spinach-- no dirt, no grit)
The bottom line: This little baby is great.
Grows at a fast pace, and you can consider it no matter what your climate. A word to the wise: be mindful of where you put it though, the lights run about 16 hours a day, so unless you want a really strong night light, put it where you don't mind the extra brightness.
