The Little Giant Ladder is manufactured by Wing Enterprises in Springville, Utah.
The ladder is constructed from a special (we're assuming plastic) resin, which they claim makes it lighter and stronger than fiberglass.
The ladder is rated to hold 300 lbs and comes in 17, 22 and 26 foot models.
It has a hand push hinge-locking mechanism that makes it easy to collapse, setup, and move around the job site.
The Little Giant ladder is priced on most websites for around $399.95.
We haven't handled and tested one ourselves but at this price you should get a solid high quality ladder.
Since the product comes with a 1-year warranty we're confident Wing Enterprises is being honest about the Little Giant's durability.
As Seen on TV infomercial products typically offer nothing more than a 30-60 day warranty to weed out the people who order then never use a product and decide to return it very late.
Their manufactures claim to fame is that the Little Giant Ladder is 'Ultra-Lite'.
At 47 lbs. it doesn't exactly sound that light.
However,
this weight does compare to other heavy duty ladders.
The quick assemble hand push hinge-locking mechanism is a nice feature when you're on a job that requirers lots of ladder movement.
This ladder appears to be a good buy but as always, be sure to shop around.

Wish I got it sooner

First, I hate heights. I hate ladders. My whole life I`ve rarely been able to go up more than two steps on a ladder, because I don`t feel safe and have a fear of heights - so the minute the ladder feels the least bit shakey or unsteady, or if it feels weak like it will bend, I get spooked and won`t go near it.
Believing the infomercials, I found the Little Giant at a local store. I got the 17 foot heavy-duty model - not the resin kind, but the full metal one. The hinges were very stiff at first and I struggled to extend it, but after doing it a few times and getting the feel for it, it became very easy. While it is heavy to lug around, it is nice how small it folds and what little space it takes up in storage. The most important thing is this ladder is SOLID. I was able to set it up on the patio, fight my fear of hights, and climb up to clean my gutters without feeling unsteady. It didn`t shake, bend, wobble or do any of the scary things other ladders do. My mother, who is 66 and not afraid of heights, but not as sure with her footing as she used to be, climbed up it and said she felt safe. My father who is a general contractor and ownes several ladders tried it out and was very impressed with both the stability and strength, and the compact storage size. All three of us are now Little Giant fans and wish we owned these ladders sooner. However, my only complaint besides the weight of it, is that the step rungs are too narrow - they aren`t even as wide as a "regular" step ladder, and they do dig in if you`re wearing the wrong shoes. If you need to stand on this for long periods of time, you`ll probably wish the rungs were wider and offered a little more foot room. I would recommend the Little Giant to anyone looking for a sturdy ladder.
